RimbaudWarrior est un ludiciel qui est (espérons !) une évolution notable du jeu classique des mots croisés : il vous propose la résolution de CRYPTOGRAMMES !

Les crytogrammes associent une grille standard de mots croisés à un texte;  dans ce texte, de nombreuses lettres sont masquées et il s'agit de les découvrir en résolvant la grille de mots croisés correspondante.  En même temps, chaque avancée sur la grille de mots croisés décrypte les lettres du texte.

Dans la grille, les mots peuvent être placés à l'endroit ou à l'envers. Les indications peuvent être soit des définitions soit un choix de mots à prendre dans une liste qui vous est proposée. 

Originalité ! Sur demande, RimbaudWarrior Player consulte Internet en lui soumettant comme requête l'indication du cryptogramme.

RimbaudWarrior", a program that lets a player solve cryptograms; cryptograms are a (hopefully) evolved genre of crosswords coupled to a text and favoring culture & reasonning.

                                                              Highlights :

---> TWO connected grids !

Solving the puzzle means simultaneously filling-in TWO interconnected grids:

• a grid of crosswords. This grid looks like an ordinary crossword grid, but it isn't.  By a long shot.

• a grid containing a text, in which several letters have been “masked” or hidden.

Fill the the text grid and the crossword grid at the same time.

Cells in the crossword grid are connected to cells in the text grid : same letter, inserted simultaneously. This connection is hardcoded and random.

In common crossword puzzles, words are inserted either across or down : 

Here in the RW Player grid, words may be inserted in all four directions : in each position of grid, the word is inserted in either the normal direction or in the REVERSE direction : across, reverse across, up to down, down to up.
